Explore data on the metabolomic changes associated with acute caloric restriction

In a paper published in the December issue of Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism we used metabolomics to characterise the response to acute caloric restriction in unprecedented detail. These data are now accessible through a web-based tool which allows researchers to visualise how the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins changes with acute caloric restriction and re-feeding in healthy volunteers.

By making this data openly available and by supporting its analysis with easy-to-use visualisation tools, we hope we can stimulate new research. Guide to accessing the data.
