Professor Farooqi and Dr Agatha van der Klaauw have written a review article on obesity that has been published in the scientific journal Cell (click here to view).

The article provides an overview of the environmental and biological factors which contribute to weight gain and discusses how these factors act through pathways that originate in the brain. They also discuss how drugs that target these pathways may be useful in treating obesity and highlight potential new therapies that are the focus of emerging research.
