Wellcome Trust Research Training Fellowship

Fleur Talbot, a young doctor who has recently joined our team from clinical training in endocrinology, has been successful in her application for a Wellcome Trust Research Training Fellowship.

This is a prestigious and competitive award that will fund her PhD investigating the molecular mechanisms that control the regulation of weight. The Wellcome Trust is a charity and is a major funder of research in the UK. In fact they have recently given substantial funds to our Institute to develop new facilities for Clinical Research, which Professor Farooqi will lead!
