Professor Farooqi receives prestigious award

Professor Farooqi, who leads the GOOS study, has
been awarded the prestigious European Journal of Endocrinology Prize 2012.

The Euorpean Journal of Endocrinology Prize 2012 is an acknowledgement of her contribution to the advancement of knowledge in Endocrinology. The prize was presented to Prof. Farooqi as part of the International Congress of Endocrinology meeting in Florence in May, where Prof. Farooqi delivered a lecture describing her team’s work and how it has contributed to the understanding and treatment of obesity.
