GOOS on the Today Programme
Researchers in Cambridge have recently received £24 million to work on the causes and health consequences of weight problems and develop new approaches to prevent and treat conditions such as diabetes.
The funding will enable the building of new state-of the-art facilities for research involving patients and volunteers, as well as support scientific studies into the biological reasons why some people are more likely to gain weight. To hear more, listen to our segment on the Today Programme.
